UFL

2017 has arrived and UFL has exciting new features planned for a big year ahead! We begin with UFL Livescore, where a series of Live data features will be rolled out over January. The first of these will be live on the next update in the coming days!

1. Match Highlights

A lot of users asked us to display match highlights information. They told us they didn't want to keep switching between UFL and their Livescore app. So we've gone ahead and added key info about matches as they happen; goalscorers, assists makers, yellow/red cards.

2. UFL Team Score

Also added is UFL Team Score where we aggregate players UFL scores to show which team is performing better. This makes following live action even more unique, powered by UFL's unique data scoring index. We think you'll really enjoy this!

3. UFL Pitchmap

Another popular request was to see line-up formations of both teams so users can see more easily which players are playing and where. UFL Pitchmap will also update in real-time team formations as the managers decide to change them! This should help users decide who to pick and trade next.

Below the pitchmap will be displayed the subs bench which also updates in real-time.

All of the above will be displayed on a new Match Info tab that pop's up as soon as line-up's come in, regardless of whether you're in a game or not.

We think you guys will love this feature as it will bring to life even more how UFL is played, powered by our unique real-time data.

Look out for further blog post announcements in January where we'll talk about the next Livescore features coming to UFL!

Dear UFL users,

We are deeply sorry for the issues you experienced this past weekend from the latest UFL update. We have now rectified almost every issue and released stable versions on the App Store available today.

The update we released had a major re-write of the technical infrastructure that powers UFL. We needed to do this so that we can scale in 2017 to handle more users. Also, it will allow us to release product features much quicker so we can constantly improve the UFL experience.

We are offering some coins as compensation, just enter the Promo Code: SORRY so that you continue enjoy playing UFL over the festive period.

Apology from Founder

We have discovered recently that the Saudi League feed has a delay from Opta. This also seemed to occur for MLS matches. We are currently speaking to Opta to understand the difference in delay. Once we have worked out this delay, we will adjust the Saudi League matches to ensure they are synced up.

We understand that some users have been gaining a big advantage with the delay by trading ahead of player actions taking place. This has left some of you unhappy and we totally hear your concerns. This is why we have prioritised having this corrected and we're working hard with Opta on the issue.

We hope to resolve the issue in time for these week's Saudi League matches on Thursday and will keep you all posted via our Twitter feed.

Here are the UFL Premier League Power Rankings for Week 13.

Eden Hazard tops the rankings again but with Coutinho possibly out for a few weeks; the Power Rankings could see a new face in the top 3 besides Hazard, Coutinho, Pogba and Aguero soon.

Keep a close eye on Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, who has mustered one goal and five assists in his previous five games. Palace will have three gold games in the next six, so if you don't get an early draft pick, you could win your game by drafting Zaha late.

Henderson's huge 184 point total against Sunderland has propelled him up to fifth in the Power Rankings, just 23 points off the top three (and a place on our graphic).

We have three new players in the top 20 this week and not a single Arsenal player in sight, despite a brace from Sanchez at the weekend.

Chelsea and Liverpool continue to battle it out to be the most represented club in our top 20, but a long-term injury to Coutinho could seriously hamper the Reds' game.

The rankings are based on the total number of UFL Points the player has accumulated in the last 5 Premier League games.

We have some big games coming up on UFL tonight, with giants Bayern, Arsenal, PSG, Atletico, Manchester City and Barcelona all set to play! There will be one platinum, four golds, one silver and two bronze games.

Below are the players you should draft in order to win your games.

Arsenal v PSG

The winner of this match will most likely have the easier passage in the round-of-16 in the spring. PSG entertain Ludogrets at home next while Arsenal travel to Switzerland to play Basel in the final game of the group stage, so the emphasis will be on Arsenal to emerge with three points from this tie.

The pair drew 1-1 at the Parc des Princes when they last met, but the French side have the form coming into this tie, winning eight of their previous nine games to Arsenal's six, who have only one win in three this month.

Who to draft?

In Ibrahimovich's absence, Edison Cavani has averaged a goal every 79 minutes this season, netting 15 in as many games! In UFL points however, this has only translated to 91 points a game over the last three. Draft him and time your Sharp Shooter right and you could see yourself top the leaderboards, time it wrong and you'll waste coins.

UFL recommends you prioritise drafting Marco Vaeratti first. The Italian has been PSG's highest scorer over the past three Champions League games, averaging an incredible 146 UFL points! Draft him ASAP.

Arsenal's highest scorer in the previous three has been Ozil, with 170 points. Behind Ozil, is Sanchez on 131 points and the consistent Mustafi with 95 points a game- a solid second pick after you've drafted one of the two above.

Borussia v Manchester City

Top scorers for Manchester City over the past three Champions League games vs Celtic, Barcelona (Away) and Barcelona (Home)

Ilkay Gundogan: 111,71,157
Raheem Sterling: 137,62,40
David Silva: 142,42,73
Fernandinho: 128,53,30

Celtic v Barcelona

Top scorers for Barcelona over the past three Champions League games vs Borussia Mönchengladbach, Man City (Home) and Man City (Away)

Lionel Messi: N/A,233,117
Neymar: 61,112,67
Luis Suarez: 56,44,31
Javier Mascherano: 129,47,72

UFL Power Rankings: Week 12

Here are the UFL Premier League Power Rankings for Week 12.

Eden Hazard tops the rankings despite not playing a part in Chelsea's one goal this weekend, which means that Philippe Coutinho falls down to second after three straight weeks at number one!

The Belgian scored an impressive 137 points with not one shot all game. Instead, the winger racked up 65 passes, including 5 crosses and 5 key passes, and 7 key dribbles!

We have 5 new players in the top 20 this week, including 2 new Chelsea and Liverpool players. Arsenal now have just 1 player in the top 20, with no Alexis Sanchez in sight.

It's clear to see who the form teams are the moment and that Arsenal are suffering their annual November slump.

The rankings are based on the total number of UFL Points the player has accumulated in the last 5 Premier League games.

  1. Eden Hazard - 713 ⬆️
  2. Phillipe Coutinho - 675 ⬇️

England look like they have a new permanent manager in Gareth Southgate, after his 3-0 victory over Scotland last Friday.

Avoiding an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Spain is a must at Wembley and the Spaniards will be provide England's toughest test yet, since their defeat to Iceland at Euro 2016.

The Three Lions secured a narrow 1-0 win over La Roja when these two met last at Wembley in 2011.

England have not conceded a goal in four games since the Euros, but have failed to brush aside minnows like Malta- winning by just two goals at home to the 164th ranked team.

Spain convincingly brushed aside Macedonia 4-0 in their last fixture, making that four wins in their previous five following their Euro 2016 exit.

Spain have scored 17 and conceded just once in these five games, but Liechtenstein and Macedonia failed to make it Euro 2016 and account for 12 of those goals.

Their toughest tests came away to Italy, where Spain secured a draw, and away to Belgium in a friendly, where Spain won 2-0.

Who to Draft First?

Both sides are stronger at the back than going forward and Southgate will look to not lose at home in his first big test as manager. Only one goal has breached both side's defences in nine games, so look to avoid drafting forwards.

Instead, draft ball-playing defenders like John Stones. The Manchester City youngster has scored 100+ points in his last four games for England! Time a Pass Master or Defensive Rock correctly and you could earn a load of points.

Who to Avoid?

Avoid wingers and forwards on both sides but particularly England's as Vardy, Rashford and Lingard don't get involved in the build-up play as often as Adruiz, Mata and Silva will.

As previously mentioned, this game will see little to no goals and the play will be centred around the middle of the park. This means central midfielders and centre-backs will get lots of touches of the ball and rack up points but wingers and strikers will rarely see the ball.

Top Five Draft Picks

Stones, Lallana, Henderson, Koke, Wilshere.

Deciding Factor

As this game is expected to be close, timing your Power-ups will likely be the deciding factor in winning your game. For maximum effect, watch the game itself and play your Pass Master on your central midfielder or defender for x3 points when that team is in control of the game and passing it around. This is likely to happen for England between 30-45 mins into the game.
